Editor's Note [Positives]
  • Excellent build quality
  • Brushed aluminium unibody design with thin bezels give it an impressive, premium look
  • Relatively compact, for its huge screen size
  • Gorgeous QHD display
  • Android interface with the VibeUI skin (with ability to switch to stock Android, if you want)
  • Vibe UI v.2 is great, fast and with tons of personalization options and custom apps
  • Top-notch performance backed by top-notch hardware
  • Good camera quality (both primary and secondary camera)
  • Watching videos on the large screen is an immersive experience
  • Decent loudspeaker
  • Good call quality
  • Good battery life, which can be further enhanced using the Power Management app
  • Handsome design - the front is all black glass, which appears to curl around the edges giving the device a borderless look
  • Very good build quality
  • Excellent, high-resolution display
  • The giant screen makes this an excellent device for watching videos and browsing the web
  • Android 5.0 interface with Material Design is a big visual overhaul and brings a lot of new functionality
  • Breathtaking performance backed by top-end hardware
  • Good front-firing stereo loudspeakers
  • Decent battery life
  • Decent camera
  • Decent call quality
Editor's Note [Negatives]
  • Difficult to operate with one-hand, as you would expect from a 6-inch display phone
  • The software doesn't make much use of the Vibe Z2 Pro's large screen to allow apps to run in a spit-screen or windowed mode (like Samsung, or LG's large phones)
  • Lot of bloatware
  • Primary (rear) camera is a slow shooter, for a flagship phone
  • No getting past the fact that this a rather big phone, and can get awkward to hold (although compared to other 6 inch screen phones, it stands up relatively well, thanks to its curved back and narrow screen borders)
  • No multi-window mode, or other large screen software optimizations found in other large phones (such as the Galaxy Note series)
