Editor's Note [Positives]
  • Simple, but distinctive Moto design, and good build quality
  • Light-weight
  • Good ergonomics
  • Decent display (although sunlight legibility could have been better)
  • Great battery life - lasts a full day even with heavy use - and outperforms its top competitors like the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime
  • Removable battery
  • Good build quality, and finish
  • Very good Super AMOLED display - sharp, bright, has good viewing angles, offers vibrant color output and good sunlight visibility
  • Samsung's UI on top of Android looks good, and functions well
  • People who travel via bikes, will find the S Bike Mode useful
  • Decent audio quality
  • Smart Dual SIM manager is useful
  • Decent front camera
  • Good battery life
Editor's Note [Negatives]
  • Average overall performance - falling quite a bit behind the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 3S - even in regular usage
  • Average camera - there is quite a bit of noise in most photos, and they aren’t the sharpest either - again falling behind the cameras of its main competitors like the Lenovo Vibe K5 and the Xiaomi Redmi 3S
  • No gyroscope
  • No ambient light sensor
  • No notification LED
  • Average rear camera
  • 8GB of internal memory will be a limiting factor if you tend to install a fair number of apps/games
  • Low volume loudspeaker
  • Performance is decent for daily use, but lags behind the top-performing phones in this price range
  • Gaming performance is again decent, but not the best
  • No "fast-charging" support (which is present in some of its competitors)
  • Loudspeaker volume is on the low side
