2-minute Review [Positives]
  • Looks premium and sleek, with an all-metal design, in a thin-and-light body
  • Decent AMOLED display with good colour reproduction
  • From a pure power point of view, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe is supremely fast, matching up to the other Snapdragon 820 powered flagships
  • Decent camera - works especially well in outdoor sunlight, producing high sharpness levels
  • Decent battery - usually lasting the work day
  • Fast charging time
  • Excellent build quality
  • Premium, high-end aluminum unibody design that gives the phone a truly elevated aesthetic compared to its predecessors
  • Super sleek at 7.35mm
  • Chamfered details around the display and charging port catch and reflect light to add to the looks
  • OnePlus' useful notification toggle is carried over from the previous OnePlus device, and is handy as ever
  • Bright, sharp AMOLED display
  • Oxygen OS UI keeps things nice, simple, and close to stock Android, is quite stable, and adds useful touches like the "shelf" homescreen, as well as handy customization options for power users - overall it works very well, and doesn't include any bloatware
  • Breathtaking, and flagship-beating performance backed by powerful hardware and an astounding 6GB of RAM
  • Excellent heat management - the phone doesn't get hot even when put under high stress levels
  • Very good camera, that compares well with the top flagship phones
  • Camera interface is fast, minimalistic, and intuitive
  • Support for 4K video, as well as time-lapse and slow-motion movies
  • Front camera is excellent too
  • Good battery life that is helped by good software optimizations - lasts the whole day even with heavy use
  • Super quick charging battery (OnePlus calls it "Dash Charging") that can completely charge the phone from 0 to 100% in a little more than 1 hour, beating other "quick charging" phones by a good margin
  • Incredibly fast and accurate fingerprint sensor
  • Decent loudspeaker, with good volume levels
  • Excellent audio quality via headphones
  • On the whole, the OnePlus 3 is easily one of the best and most well-rounded Android phones ever made, and the fact that it manages to be so at a price well below current flagship devices, makes it nothing short of exceptional
2-minute Review [Negatives]
  • The Zenfone 3 Deluxe is tall and wide, which is not a very ergonomic design - it will feel less than comfortable to people with average sized or small hands
  • Reaching this fingerprint sensor at the back can also take some getting used to, thanks to the smaller surface area
  • The display is decent but nothing outstanding, as one would have expected at this price point - it's glossy and reflective and can be stuttery when automatically changing brightness
  • Asus' UI is overwhelming and heavy, and a major deterrent to the phone’s performance, bringing a general sluggishness to everything - for instance the fingerprint sensor takes over a second to register and jump to the home screen, and the camera app takes about 2 seconds to boot, and about 2.3 seconds to boot and focus automatically
  • At the same time, the sea of apps that ZenUI brings with itself is overwhelming, each one of these needs some permissions, and there are in any case better alternatives to all of them in the Play Store
  • Because of all the bloatware, no less than 12.61GB is system reserved memory - that’s nearly 20% of the internal memory - which is unavailable to use
  • The phone also tends to heat up a bit with gaming, and tends to throttle too, leading to slight stutters, that a flagship phone shouldn’t have
  • Camera is decent but not deserving of this price bracket - shot-to-shot time is slow at about 1.5 seconds, and performance under indoor lights is very average
  • The loudspeaker is decently loud, but doesn’t offer much quality - and the placement of the speaker leads to muffled sound while playing games or watching videos in landscape mode

No Major Negatives!
