2-minute Review [Positives]
  • Nice, aesthetic design with a gold trim running along the edges of the body
  • Good build quality
  • Comfortable to hold
  • Decent display, with good viewing angles
  • Very good speed and performance, backed by a cool 3GB of RAM
  • Excellent fingerprint sensor - super-fast, and reliable
  • Decent camera performance
  • Good call quality
  • Decent loudspeaker
  • Good battery life
  • Compact, smart looking, premium design with a metal build - very similar to the Redmi Note 3, but more easy to handle (because of the smaller size)
  • Excellent ergonomics, with the curves on the back making the phone very comfortable to hold
  • Light-weight with an excellent weight distribution, despite the large battery it holds inside
  • Nice, vibrant, and bright display, with excellent touch-responsiveness, and good viewing angles
  • MIUI is a one of the better Android skins around
  • Good speed/performance (though multi-tasking performance is a notch below the Redmi 3s Prime because of lesser RAM)
  • Decent camera
  • Excellent battery life - easily lasts a day and a half in regular use
  • Fast, accurate fingerprint sensor
  • Good audio quality
2-minute Review [Negatives]
  • Touchscreen tends to attract fingerprints
  • Coolpad's custom CoolUI 6.0 skin over Android is decent but lacks polish
  • Camera is decent, and almost at par with the more expensive Redmi Note 3, but still could have been better, especially with low light performance
  • Loudspeaker volume could have been better
