2-minute Review [Positives]
  • Solid build
  • Good looks
  • All metal uni-body design
  • With a 5.2-inch display, the phone is relatively ergonomic, compact and easy to handle (compared to it's top competitors in the price bracket which are all 5.5-inchers)
  • Decent, sharp display, with good sunlight legibility
  • Huawei's EMUI on top of Android works well
  • Smooth overall performance
  • Decent cameras on the front and back
  • Accurate fingerprint sensor on the back
  • Good call quality
  • Good audio quality via headphones
  • Good battery life - easily lasts a day with moderate use
  • Good, solid phone in this price bracket even though it lacks the wow factors of some of it's competitors, like a giant battery, or a larger display
  • Compact, smart looking, premium design with a metal build - very similar to the Redmi Note 3, but more easy to handle (because of the smaller size)
  • Excellent ergonomics, with the curves on the back making the phone very comfortable to hold
  • Light-weight with an excellent weight distribution, despite the large battery it holds inside
  • Nice, vibrant, and bright display, with excellent touch-responsiveness, and good viewing angles
  • MIUI is a one of the better Android skins around
  • Very good speed/performance - one of the best in this price range
  • Decent camera
  • Excellent battery life - easily lasts a day and a half in regular use
  • Good audio quality
2-minute Review [Negatives]
  • Tends to heat up a bit, when put under stress
  • No fast charging support (which is present in some of its competitors)
  • The camera's video recording quality is not as good
  • Camera is decent, and almost at par with the more expensive Redmi Note 3, but still could have been better, especially with low light performance
  • Loudspeaker volume could have been better
