2-minute Review [Positives]
  • Well built
  • Compact, and solid design, with a metal back
  • Comfortable to hold and use, with a slight arch around the back
  • Matte layer on the outside keeps the phone free from smudges
  • Bright display, with some useful fine-tuning options
  • Good speed/performance overall (although below the top-performing phones in this price range, like the Coolpad Note 3)
  • Vibe UI allows plenty of customization, is visually appealing, and has some nice looking themes
  • There is also a more stock-Android UI option, for users that prefer that
  • Excellent audio quality
  • Decent battery life - you can see through a whole day, at moderate usage levels
  • Pretty good rear and front cameras, especially for still photography
  • Good pair of booming stereo speakers
  • Good build quality
  • Good looking smartphone, which feels good to hold as well
  • Good, sharp display with vibrant colors, and good viewing angles
  • Lenovo's UI on top of Android is pretty decent
  • Good speed/performance, backed by 3GB of RAM
  • Good camera for still photography
  • Excellent audio performance, one of the best in this category, with two Dolby Atmos enabled speakers at the back, as well as great sound quality via headphones
  • Decent battery life
2-minute Review [Negatives]
  • Average viewing angles on the display
  • No fingerprint sensor
  • Video recording performance is let down by persistent focus-hunting by the camera
  • Display lacks Gorilla Glass protection
  • The metal rim on the sides are the back are prone to scratches
  • Video recording quality of the camera is affected by an over eager auto-focus
