2-minute Review [Positives]
  • Solid build
  • Decent, customizable display, with scratch-resistant DragonTrail glass
  • Close-to-stock Android UI
  • Decent, consistent day-to-day performance
  • Supports 4G
  • Bundled 6 months of free access to premium movies from Eros Now
  • Good battery life - comfortably lasts through the day
  • Decent front camera - takes crisp-looking selfies under good-light
  • Compact, smart looking, premium design with a metal build - very similar to the Redmi Note 3, but more easy to handle (because of the smaller size)
  • Excellent ergonomics, with the curves on the back making the phone very comfortable to hold
  • Light-weight with an excellent weight distribution, despite the large battery it holds inside
  • Nice, vibrant, and bright display, with excellent touch-responsiveness, and good viewing angles
  • MIUI is a one of the better Android skins around
  • Good speed/performance (though multi-tasking performance is a notch below the Redmi 3s Prime because of lesser RAM)
  • Decent camera
  • Excellent battery life - easily lasts a day and a half in regular use
  • Fast, accurate fingerprint sensor
  • Good audio quality
2-minute Review [Negatives]
  • Smudge prone back panel, and display
  • Average rear camera, with colors looking a little bit washed out
  • No fingerprint scanner
  • The included battery charger is on the slow side - takes 6-7 hours to charge completely
  • Camera is decent, and almost at par with the more expensive Redmi Note 3, but still could have been better, especially with low light performance
  • Loudspeaker volume could have been better
