Our Opinion

The Panasonic Eluga Ray Max 32GB is a slightly better phone, but the Lenovo K6 Power (4GB RAM) is significantly better value for money. Which phone should you buy? Depends on how much your want to spend!

2-minute Review [Positives]
  • Metal unibody design makes for a premium feel, and good looks
  • Compact 5-inch form factor, with a slight curve on the back, makes it easy to hold - people who like (relatively) smaller phones will appreciate the design
  • The full HD display is crisp and vibrant, and has decent sunlight legibility
  • Lenovo has kept the UI close to stock Android, which is a good thing and keeps things clean and swift
  • Decent overall performance - multitasking is not an issue especially if your main use case is browsing the Internet, and watching videos - heavy games like Asphalt 8 do tend to lag a bit though
  • Heat management is excellent with the phone not heating up even when put under stress
  • Decent rear camera - in bright daylight, pictures come out nice, and colors are natural - low light performance is pretty average though
  • Decent front 8MP camera - capable of clicking some good selfies
  • Good audio quality with Dolby Atmos support - especially if you use your own high quality headphones
  • Stellar battery life - with moderate use, the phone can last up to 2 days
  • TheatreMax support for VR
  • Nice, sturdy metal design
  • Faintly curved to offer a firm grip
  • The fingerprint sensor on the home button unlocks the device quickly
  • Nice, vivid display with good viewing angles and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection
  • Almost-stock Android UI keeps things nice and simple
  • Decent battery life along with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging
2-minute Review [Negatives]
  • Although overall performance is pretty decent, it falls a little behind its top rival - the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
  • Lenovo has kept the speakers at the back, which means that if you place it flat on a table, the sound is muffled, even with Dolby Atmos mode on
  • Lacks fast-charging support
  • Panasonic’s Arbo virtual assistant - which competes with the likes of Apple’s Siri, Google Assistant, Microsoft Cortana and the recently launched Samsung Bixby - offers suggestions based on the user's daily habits - the concept sounds good but fails to impress
