2-minute Review [Positives]
  • Sturdy build
  • Premium looks with a metallic unibody design
  • The slightly curved back design ups the comfort factor
  • The chamfered edges along the spine have also been covered with a paint to ensure the edges don’t feel sharp while you are holding the phone
  • Fast, accurate fingerprint sensor (embedded in the home button)
  • Gesture support for additional navigation using the home button
  • Very good display with rich colors, sharp text, and good visibility under bright light
  • Amigo UI on top of Android has plenty of customisation options such as themes, as well as additional features like the battery saver mode (although it is a little cluttered)
  • Also has a split screen mode, to run 2 apps at a time on the screen
  • Good performance in most tasks and games - with no noticeable delays while multi-tasking or gaming
  • Decent battery life - lasts a day on a single charge - with light to moderate use
  • Sturdy build quality
  • Premium, unibody design, with a gold lining running throughout the corners at the back of the handset
  • The metal sides offer decent grip
  • Good display - sharp, fairly bright, and with impressive sunlight legibility
  • Amigo UI over Android looks decent, and comes with a lot of add-on features
  • Decent speed/performance (although behind the top performers in this price bracket)
  • Good call quality
  • Good audio quality via headphones
  • Decent loudspeaker
  • Decent rear and front cameras, during daytime conditions
  • Decent battery life - lasts a day with moderate use
2-minute Review [Negatives]
  • Slightly protruded camera
  • While the phone feels handy, it is not very light, at 170g
  • While the display is good, it is not the best available option at this price point - the likes of LeEco Le Max 2 come with bigger 5.7-inch display and higher screen resolution of 2, 560x1, 440p
  • While it is has a reliable processor, it is not as powerful as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 based LeEco Le Max 2 or the Mi5
  • Average rear and front cameras - detailing is especially poor in low light conditions
  • The phone also tends to heat up when using the cameras for a long time
  • No fast charging support on the battery
  • Occasional WiFi connectivity issues
  • Slightly heavy for its size
  • Corners of the handset could have been more rounded for ease of use
  • Display is a bit smudge prone
  • Comes with a lot of bloatware pre-installed (that can't be uninstalled)
  • The front camera performs just about average in low-light conditions, in spite of the included front flash
