2-minute Review [Positives]
  • Looks nice upfront with a dewdrop notch display with almost no bezels on the sides (however, it does have a slight chin at the bottom)
  • Light, compact and easy to hold
  • Decent 6.3-inch FHD+ display - the LCD panel comes with HDR10 support, which is pretty good considering the price range - it also produces nice, punchy colors, and works fine in outdoor light conditions
  • Lenovo's ZUI is pretty close to stock Android - which is a good thing - it keeps things nice and simple
  • Good performance from a strong Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC - the phone performs comfortably, and handles moderate multitasking well - gaming performance is good too
  • Triple-camera setup at the back includes a 16-megapixel primary camera sensor, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom (a rarity in this segment), and a 5-megapixel depth sensor
  • Performance of the 16-megapixel primary camera is good, especially in daylight - background colors come out quite richly in the pictures
  • Good focus speed
  • Good portrait mode photos (with good edge detection)
  • Overall, the K10 Note has capable cameras for the price bracket, though it's no quite there at the top of the pile
  • The smartphone comes with a single speaker, but with Dolby Atmos support, which improves the overall audio performance
  • Good battery life with a large 4050mAh battery - you will get around 1.5 days of moderate use
  • Fresh, sophisticated and premium-looking rear design - it features a pattern of vertical pinstripes down the rear that seem to shift from side to side when you move the phone around under the light
  • Front looks slick with a dewdrop notch at the top
  • It's relatively easy to use and live with because of its tall and narrow footprint
  • The fingerprint reader is on the back and performs well
  • Large 6.5-inch HD+ display - it's crisp enough for gaming and video streaming
  • Software is one area where Realme has taken a big leap, the Realme UI is easy to use - it is also packed with features such as Game Space, Digital Wellbeing, Focus Mode, Dark Mode, and Riding Mode among others
  • Good performance from the new MediaTek G80 chipset (similar to the Snapdragon 712) - the phone smoothly handles day-to-day task with ease and heavy games like PUBG Mobile run reasonably well
  • Decent quad-camera setup at the back - a 48MP primary camera, a 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor
  • Shots with primary camera, under bright sunlight have lots of detail and exposures are well balanced - it works well for casual photography
  • The ultra-wide-angle camera delivers fairly decent shots and captures more of the scene in the frame, as long as there is good lighting
  • The portrait mode works well with well defined subjects and natural looking bokeh
  • The selfie camera is decent - it also takes quite good portraits
  • Excellent battery life with the 5000 mAh battery - it easily lasts for 2 days of moderate use
  • Decent fast charging with the supplied 18W charger - it fills the phone's battery to the brim in about 2 hours
  • The Narzo 10 is a very strong contender if your priority is performance and battery life, and for its target audience, which are gamers, these are the things that matter
2-minute Review [Negatives]
  • The back design is a little bland however, and the shiny plastic body attracts smudges very easily
  • But given the fact that the only changes are to the look of the notification shade, and the task switcher, and no major features are added, the ZUI layer could have been easily skipped, which would have resulted in an even more responsive feeling UI
  • While the telephoto lens sounds impressive on paper, the quality is average - you will find that you can get comparable results with digital zoom on competing smartphones
  • The cameras are also average in low light - there is a dedicated night mode, and it does help a bit, but not much
  • Video recording quality is average - audio is also a bit of an issue too, as it generally sounds tinny
  • Average selfie camera - skin textures look a bit sharpened and colours aren't always accurate - there is no flash either for night photos
  • While it does technically 18W fast charging, the actual charging speed is not too great - the battery charges about 63 percent in an hour and takes almost two and half hours to fully charge
  • While the K10 Note does have some aces up its sleeves - Snapdragon 710 SoC, 4050mAh battery and a reasonably capable triple camera setup - it also enters a market segment where the competition from the likes of Xiaomi, Realme, Samsung, Oppo, and Vivo is ruthless - it's worth considering if you want an HDR10 supported device for entertainment purposes or a lightweight device with near stock android experience - but otherwise, the competition is certainly better
  • A bit thick at 9mm and relatively hefty at 199g
  • Competition offers better displays with FHD+ resolution
  • The display isn't particularly bright and could be a problem to use in direct sunlight
  • There are still a number of pre-loaded apps however - though most of these can thankfully be uninstalled
  • Low-light photography is just average, as expected from a budget phone
  • Macros are blotchy and rough, with the limited resolution, this camera should be used more for fun than anything else
  • However, if you can spend a little more, you might want to consider the Realme 6 and the Redmi Note 9 Pro instead, as they offer much better performance and cameras

  1. A good comeback attempt from Lenovo in the budget segment....but while the Lenovo K10 Note is certainly acceptable, other phones at similar price points such as the Realme 5 Pro and Xiaomi Mi A3 offer better value
