2-minute Review [Positives] |
- The front has a notch-less display, that spans almost edge to edge, with a pop-up selfie camera mechanism (which is a rare sight in this price bracket)
- There's a handy button dedicated to the Google Assistant
- The rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is easy to reach and quick to unlock the smartphone
- Crisp, large 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel - it is HDR10 certified, and there are three colour modes to choose from - the display is set to the Saturated colour mode by default, but you can switch to the Natural or Boosted options if you prefer
- The lack of a notch helps make the screen appear immersive, and consuming content on the screen is a pleasure
- True to Motorola style, you get clean and simple stock Android - mind you, it's not an Android One series phone though despite the 'One' moniker
- The minor Motorola additions to stock Android are those that make the user experience even better - there are the Moto navigation gestures as well as the Moto Display, both of which make it easier to live with when compared to any other stock Android phone
- Excellent performance powered by one of the best chipsets at this price, the Snapdragon 730G - there's enough grunt to handle day-to-day duties as well as heavy gaming with ease, PUBG Mobile defaults to the High preset
- Very good quad-camera setup - there's the 64MP primary, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle, a 5MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor
- In daylight, it manages good shots with ample detail, objects at a distance have decent detail - the phone also enables HDR automatically in bright scenes
- The ultra-wide-angle camera offers a wider field-of-view at the cost of slightly lower details than the primary camera - it has a slightly different colour tone compared to the primary camera
- Close-ups turns out quite well - the macro camera lets you get a lot closer to an object
- Portrait mode lets you set the level of blur before you take a shot - edge detection is good, and the background is blurred properly
- Night mode works surprisingly well, you've to hold the phone steady for slightly longer - but the output with Night mode is a lot brighter and have improved details in the shadows as well
- Selfies taken with 16MP selfie shooter has good details - you can also enable portrait mode for selfies, and edge detection is decent - the selfie camera also supports Night mode
- This single speaker is loud enough to fill a small room and adds to the video watching experience
- Very good battery life with the 5000mAh battery - it will easily last you for 2 days on moderate use
- The One Fusion Plus comes with an 18W TurboCharger in the box to help with fast charging
- Motorola has got the specifications and the pricing right for the One Fusion Plus, making it very easy to recommend - the highlight is its clean, bloatware-free near-stock Android software which provides excellent user experience and the notch-less display is a cherry on top
|
- Looks elegant and understated while still being eye-catching - the back has a very subtle gradient design where you can see the thunderbolt symbol flashing off the phone
- The dual hole-punch cutout at the front gives the phone a modern appearance
- Fingerprint Sensor is embedded in the unlock button and it is insanely quick and a pleasure to use - face recognition continues to be quick too, and works equally well even in the dark
- The back is Gorilla Glass 5, so scuff marks aren't really an issue
- Good 6.6-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display - it gives off quite punchy, and vivid colours
- The 90Hz refresh rate on the Realme 6 Pro makes for a smooth and seamless visual experience
- Brightness levels are more than sufficient for outdoor use
- Software is one place where Realme has taken a big leap, the Realme UI is easy to use - it is also packed with features such as Digital Wellbeing, Focus Mode, Dark Mode, and Riding Mode among others - there are some more interesting and useful features like Realme Dual-Mode Audio, which allows you to connect a Bluetooth and a wired headset at the same time to listen to music on the smartphone
- Excellent performance for the price - the Snapdragon 720G is a powerful chip, so as expected, general usage and multitasking is handled superbly - gaming performance is nothing to scoff at, the phone handles heavy games like PUBG at the highest settings with ease
- Good quad cameras for the price - there's a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 2MP macro camera
- Pictures from the primary camera look pretty good with fairly good details and very good dynamic range
- The HDR mode works quite well and retains the highlights of the picture and there is a good amount of detail in the shadow regions
- Ultra-wide camera also works well, both indoors and during daylight (though, as expected, quality is not on par with the primary camera)
- Photos captured by the telephoto camera are decent too - you can zoom upto 20X with a mix of optical and digital zoom
- Portrait mode works well, even for objects, and the level of depth can be adjusted before you take a shot
- In low light, the primary camera is pretty capable and manages a fair bit of detail with good colours and you can use the night mode with all cameras except the macro and it helps boost the brightness and detail in the shot
- Very good dual selfie cameras, 16MP primary and 8MP Ultra-wide - the wide-angle camera is great for taking a group selfie and you can even shoot videos with it
- Very good battery life with the 4300 mAh cell - the 6 Pro delivers a solid day and a half of battery life, even with heavy usage
- The bundled 30W fast charger is very quick and manages to charge the battery from zero to about 90 percent in an hour
- The Realme 6 Pro is a good overall package that offer almost everything that one would want from mid-range phone - it looks great, offers powerful performance, clicks stunning pictures in almost all lightning situations, and delivers long lasting battery life - the inclusion of wide-angle selfie camera and telephoto camera gives it an extra edge over the competition

2-minute Review [Negatives] |
- Reaching the top while using the phone single-handed is somewhat difficult
- Motorola One Fusion Plus feels chunky and heavy, as it is 9.6mm thick and weighs 210g
- Motorola has positioned all the buttons on the right, which looks cluttered while the left side is bare
|
- The Realme 6 Pro is quite chunky at 8.9mm and a bit heavy at 202g
- There are still a number of pre-loaded apps however (though most of these can thankfully be uninstalled)
- The macro lens doesn't really excel at what it is supposed to do, the detailing of the images is low because of the very low 2MP resolution (though, it help take closer shots of smaller subjects)
- However, the Realme 6 Pro and the Realme X2 have very similar features, camera capabilities and performance, and the only really differentiating factors are their design and displays and if you would prefer an AMOLED panel and an in-display fingerprint sensor, the Realme X2 would be the one to pick
