2-minute Review [Positives] |
- Good build quality
- Modern design with a 'dot notch' display
- The plastic back panel has an attractive high gloss polish
- The power button on the right edge also acts as a notification light - this is a unique feature, and quite impressive too for the price (it can be disabled too from the settings, if you so desire)
- Additionally, there is also a useful, dedicated Google Assistant button on the left side of the phone, which is again quite unique (the only other budget phones to have it is the Nokia 4.2)
- Well placed fingerprint sensor at the back
- There is face unlock too - though it's not the fastest
- Big 6.2-inch display that's pretty good for binge watching - it produces punchy colors, and has decent sunlight legibility
- Simple, no-frills Android One experience - which means you get uncluttered, stock Android + 2 years of guaranteed upgrades
- With Android 9 Pie, you of course also get features like Digital Wellbeing, gesture navigation, Adaptive Brightness and more
- Decent daylight camera performance for the price
- Under good lighting conditions, the images captured using the Nokia 3.2 are good enough for your Instagram or Facebook uploads
- HDR mode helps deliver vibrant and punchy shots
- Very good battery life with a large 4000mAh battery - with moderate use, you will get 1.5 days of use, and with lighter use, it stretches up to 2 days
- For a certain audience i.e. light smartphone users, who value a simple, uncluttered experience, and want to use the phone mainly for messaging, social media, and video consumption, the Nokia 3.2 is a pretty solid choice

2-minute Review [Negatives] |
- The glossy back of course means that the phone is quite prone to fingerprints and scratches, so will likely require using a case
- The Nokia 3.2 is also not as compact as the Nokia 4.2 or Nokia 5.1 Plus - it is large and often unwieldy - it also feels substantial in the hand with a weight of 178 grams and a thickness of 8.6mm, due to a big battery that rests inside - it's targeted therefore more at people interested in a lot of video consumption on their phone (big display + big battery), as opposed to those that prefer ergonomics
- Performance is the weak spot for the phone with a dated Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 chipset under the hood - it's good enough for basic use, but apps take time to open, and heavier apps/games will lag
- No Bokeh effect
- Slight shutter lag
- Low light performance is pretty average
- For more power users though, you will want to look elsewhere, at options from the likes of Xiaomi and Realme, where you will get much more powerful internals
