2-minute Review [Positives] |
- The Narzo 10A has identical shape and size as the Realme C3, with the only changes being at the back - Realme added a stark flat back panel with a gigantic Realme logo splashed across the entire length of the device
- Trendy, tear-drop notch front design - the bezels on the sides are impressively thin for smartphones at this price
- The 20:9 aspect ratio makes the smartphone tall and slim, so it's relatively comfortable to hold and use
- The fingerprint sensor and face recognition both works quickly and seamlessly
- Large, 6.5 inch IPS display with HD+ resolution - the colours are vibrant with a decent amount of sharpness
- Sunlight legibility is also good - the display gets bright enough for comfortable outdoor use
- The Narzo 10A comes with Realme UI based on Android 10 which is much more streamlined and clean compared to previous Realme phones - it still packs a lot of useful features like Dark mode, Focus mode, Game Space and Personal Information Protection
- Excellent performance for the price - the MediaTek Helio G70 throws the competition out of the park and scores even higher at benchmarks than the much pricier Galaxy A51 and the Oppo F15 - there's no noticeable lag in regular use and PUBG Mobile on the Narzo 10A defaults to High presets and runs fairly smooth
- Decent triple camera setup for the price - a 12MP primary, 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor
- In daylight, the Narzo 10A is quick to lock focus and does a fair job of metering light, photos look good and the quality is better than what some of the other smartphones at this price point can produce
- Realme has added a decent macro camera, which gives you Instagram worthy macros
- Decent portrait mode, with good edge detection (though, the quality could have been better)
- Decent video recording quality, with a option to shoot slow motion videos
- Impressive battery life with a big 5000 mAh battery - it lasts for two full days on a single charge with moderate usage
- Realme has made some design changes at the back, added a fingerprint sensor and a macro camera and everything else is same as the Realme C3 and all that at a very nominal price increase - which makes the Realme Narzo 10A a steal
|
- Catchy, elegant 'V-pattern' rear design - the V-design at the back with a smooth texture gives the device a good look
- Trendy, tear-drop notch front design - the bezels on the sides are thin for smartphones at this price
- The 20:9 aspect ratio makes the smartphone tall and slim, so it's relatively comfortable to hold and use
- The fingerprint scanner is located on the rear and works well, so does the Face Unlock
- The weight is evenly distributed, the device doesn't feel too heavy to hold
- Large, 6.5 inch IPS display with HD+ resolution - the colors are vibrant with a decent amount of sharpness
- Sunlight legibility is decent - the display gets bright enough for comfortable outdoor use
- The Narzo 20A comes with Realme UI based on Android 10 which is much more streamlined and clean compared to previous realme phones - it still packs a lot of useful features like Dark Mode, Focus mode, Game Space and Personal Information Protection
- Decent triple camera setup for the price - a 12MP primary shooter + a 2MP depth sensor + a 2MP ‘retro’ unit
- The primary camera can take nice pictures in good lighting conditions, the colour accuracy is good and the dynamic range and sharpness are also decent enough and for a phone at this price
- There's also a decent Macro mode which lets you get very close to the subject (focusing at a close distance could be an issue though)
- The portrait shots also come out good and they are usable for most scenarios
- Decent video recording quality, with a option to shoot slow-motion videos
- Impressive battery life with a big 5000 mAh battery - it lasts for two full days on a single charge with moderate usage

2-minute Review [Negatives] |
- A bit heavy, at 195g
- There is no Widevine L1 certification which means that you cannot enjoy HD content on Netflix and Amazon Prime
- There's still some bloatware that comes pre-installed
- Low light photos are average, as expected, they lack detail and aren't very sharp
- Selfies are average too with inaccurate colour tone and low sharpness and details
- Still offers the old MicroUSB, while the competition has started offering USB Type-C in the budget segment
- Charging is on the slower side with the 10W charger - it takes over 3 hours to charge the smartphone completely
|
- There is no Widevine L1 certification which means that you cannot enjoy HD content on Netflix and Amazon Prime
- There's still some bloatware that comes pre-installed
- Poor performance from the Snapdragon 665 SOC - opening up apps, scrolling through the interface, heading to settings, or even just going through the list of apps is a painfully slow process - the performance of the phone is pretty disappointing to the extent that this could be one of the worst-performing phones in some years
- Low light photos are average, as expected, they lack detail and aren't very sharp
- Selfies are average too with inaccurate colour tone and low sharpness and details - the portrait selfie is not very consistent either
- Still offers the old MicroUSB, while the competition has started offering USB Type-C in the budget segment
- Charging is on the slower side with the 10W charger - it takes over 3 hours to charge the smartphone completely
- The Realme Narzo 20A offers a good display, new design, and excellent battery life, however, the performance lets you down big time - with Realme Narzo 20A letting you down even with basic apps and day to day usage, it is difficult to recommend this phone to anyone
