Design
- Striking, flamboyant, glass-and-metal design, with strong attention to detail
- Fast fingerprint scanner
- Because of the glass-based panels, the surface is prone to finger prints and smudges
- The concentric circle design may be too shiny for some
Display
- Very good display with a comfortable viewing experience both under the bright sun and indoors - rivaling flagships in brightness and color accuracy
Software
- Asus' ZenUI is pretty bloated, with a lot of unnecessary apps, leading to a cluttered experience
Performance
- Good speed/performance in daily use
- The new Qualcomm processor is quite efficient in keeping the temperatures under check
- Although day to day performance is good, there are visible lags on heavy games like Asphalt 8
Camera
- Both rear and front cameras are pretty good and a significant improvement from the Zenfone 2 series last year (although not as good as the top camera phones in this price bracket, like the OnePlus 3)
Audio
- Good loudspeaker
- Good audio quality via headphones
Battery
- Good battery life, which is helped by an efficient processor - comfortably lasts a full day
