2-Minute Review

Let's cut through the noise, and get to the crux of it. 14+ Expert Reviews analysed and summarised by the PhoneCurry Editorial Team, in a short and sweet 2-minute review.

Design

  • Beautiful, premium design, and solid build
  • Huge size means the phone is almost impossible to use with a single hand, and difficult to carry around
  • The implementation of the fingerprint scanner (to unlock the phone) is not the best (requires swiping your finger), and it's position (on the back of the phone, under the camera) is inconvenient

Display

  • Excellent display with nice color temperature and contrast, wide viewing angles, and good outdoor visibility

Software

  • Huge screen size means that the phone is perfect for web browsing, and watching videos
  • Simple, intuitive, and elegant HTC Sense overlay over Android
  • Lots of useful software add-ons like BlinkFeed, car mode, kid mode

Performance

  • Smooth, slick performance
  • Uses Snapdragon 600 processor, instead of the current top-of-the-line Snapdragon 800

Camera

  • Average camera

Audio

  • Brilliant stereo loudspeakers
  • Good call quality

Battery

  • Very good battery life
