Design
- Sports an effective fingerprint sensor and a decent face-unlock mechanism (although it doesn't work well in low lighting conditions)
- Pretty large size, because of the combination of a large screen and significant bezels - not the easiest phone to use one handed, or carry around in your pocket
Display
- Decent modern 18:9, 5.99 inch display - provides ample screen estate for immersive multimedia playback experience, such as watching videos on YouTube and online movies streaming
Software
- User interface is almost stock Android, which keeps things nice and simple
- Has an old version of Android (Nougat 7.1.1) out of the box
Performance
- The processor is quite under-powered - the phone lags with multiple apps running in the background - graphic performance in games is mediocre too
Camera
- Decent (though not great) rear and front cameras - take reasonably good shots in good light (though they struggle in low light)
Battery
- Good battery life - the phone features a 4000 mAh battery, which lasts almost 2 days on regular usage
More
- On the whole, seen by itself the Impulse is a decent phone, but in this competitive price bracket it will likely find it difficult to compete against the likes of Redmi 5, the Redmi Y2, the Honor 7A and Nokia 3
