Design
- Nice, simple design - LG houses the Q7 Plus in a metal case, coated with an acrylic-like glass finish on the back side
- Fingerprint sensor at the back is reasonably quick and accurate
- IP68 dust-proof and waterproof
Display
- Decent 5.5-inch IPS display with reasonable sunlight legibility and good viewing angles
- Contrast levels are on the low side though
Software
- The software experience is pretty close to stock Android, which means everything is nice and simple, and there isn't much bloatware
Performance
- Performance is a major weak point here with a low powered MT6750 chipset (similar to Snapdragon 435) - day to day use is fine, but heavier apps/games will struggle - most of the competition is way ahead on this metric
Camera
- Average 16MP main camera, and 8MP front camera
- Colors come out somewhat pale, and content in dark areas is easily lost
- Low light performance is also average
- Video recording quality is ok, but the stabilisation could have been better
Audio
- Good audio quality via headphone jack
- Good call quality too
Battery
- Good battery life with a 3000mAH battery - you will get a day of use comfortably
- Fast charging support (the phone takes about 2 hours to go from 0 to 100%)
Verdict
- On the whole, the LG Q7 Plus is an average device from the house of LG, with no big strengths apart from the simple software experience - and one area where it lags significantly behind the competition is performance - you will be better off looking at the competition
