Design
- Gorgeous, exquisite design, with the gradient, coloured back - if you're a fan of the contemporary glass-back design, then there are few handsets that pull it off as stylishly as the R15 Pro
- Dust and water resistance
- Fast, effective face unlock
Display
- Big, bright, sharp 6.28-inch AMOLED display, with a notch
Software
- ColorOS has a lot of customization options, and some effective gesture navigation schemes
- It is still pretty much a copy of iOS though (that could be a positive if you are moving on from an iPhone, but will be a learning curve if you are moving from a more 'pure Android' phone)
- Also, while the customization options are welcome, the interface itself is not the most clean, simple, or refined - the settings pane needs an overhaul, and there's a lot of duplication when it comes to the stock apps
Performance
- Solid mid-range performance backed by a Snapdragon 660 along with 6GB of RAM - everything from daily stuff to games is effortless
- That said, of course the performance is not up to the level of Snapdragon 845 phones around this price range, like the Poco F1
Camera
- Good set of dual rear cameras - photos look detailed, sharp and realistic - the automatic HDR is solid, as it doesn't make pictures look artificial, as some HDR shooters can
- Good portrait photos too
- Good low-light picture quality too
- Decent video recording performance - it offers 2, 160-pixel shooting at 30 frames per second, and can give you up to 240 fps slow-motion video too
- Excellent selfie camera - produces some great images, especially in daylight
Connectivity
- Uses the outdated Micro-USB port, instead of the modern USB-C
Battery
- Good battery life with a strong 3340mAh battery - comfortably lasts the day even with heavy use
- VOOC fast-charging support
Verdict
- The R15 Pro is another winner from the Oppo camp - the design alone is a deal sealer, but the trendy screen, good performance, great selfie camera, and the skilful main snappers are what makes it great
