Design
- Premium glass-metal design
- The flattened mid section too helps in making it easy to hold
Display
- With small bezel size (just 2.7mm) the overall size is kept relatively manageable for such a large screen device
- Samsung's expertise in making good AMOLED screen shines through in the A9 Pro as well - although the resolution is relatively low at 1080p, the screen looks sharp, offers superb contrast, viewing angles and brightness
- If you find the colours not to your liking, you can also switch modes from the display settings (adaptive/cinema photo/basic modes)
Software
- No notification LED
Performance
- Good overall speed/performance, powered by the Snapdragon 652 processor, paired with 4GB RAM - offers the same class of performance as previous generation flagships - but falls behind the current Snapdragon 820 phones like Le Max 2 and Mi5 which are available in even lower price brackets
Camera
- The 16MP primary camera offers good quality results and has optical image stabilization - although it is easily outclassed by the top camera phones in this price range like the OnePlus 3
Battery
- The battery is massive at 5, 000mAh and combined with the efficient Snapdragon 652, delivers two full days of battery life
- Fast charging support (30 minutes of charging will give you about a 30 per cent charge)
More
- On the whole, if you want a really large screen smartphone from one of the top brands, A9 Pro is a good deal, but if you are ok about going with middle level or smaller brands, you can do better by getting better performance, more RAM, storage and better cameras at a cheaper price
