Design
- Nice, understated looks and premium build quality
- The massive chin and forehead design may not be everyone's cup of tea
- No fingerprint scanner
Display
- Decent display - above average brightness and reasonably sharp
Software
- The user experience is typical Xperia - near-stock Android with extensive theming support and a few added features like the Stamina battery saving modes
- Sony's multimedia apps are especially good - TrackID nicely complements the FM radio
Performance
- The Helio P20 chipset is a snappy performer in both CPU and GPU-intense tasks - its performance is on par with the likes of Snapdragon 625, Exynos 7880 and Kirin 658 and it's also nicely power efficient in comparison to the Helio P10
Camera
- Good 23MP primary camera - colors are accurate, dynamic range is adequately wide, and detail levels are good
- The 8MP front-facing camera is decent too, as long as light conditions are good
- The 1080p video recording quality is pretty average - videos turn out quite soft and noisy
Audio
- The single loudspeaker is decent though could have been louder
Battery
- Good all-day battery life
More
- The narrow body aids adds comfort in single-handed use
- The taller body aspect ratio feels especially nice when you are holding the phone to your ear
