Design
- Looks good, and is built well - it's also up to speed with today’s design trends, with a tall, 18:9, 6 inch display, and slime bezels
- The plastic build also makes it quite light (150 grams) and at 7.3mm in thickness, it’s fairly slim too - it’s also easy to grip and the matte finish doesn’t attract fingerprints
Display
- Screen resolution could have been better
Software
- HiOS UI on top of Android is decent, though nothing exceptional (it has a couple of duplicate apps like for the keyboard and the browser, that could have been avoided)
- No compass, a sensor thats usually present in this price bracket, which means you can’t tell which direction you’re facing in apps like Google Maps
Performance
- Decent performance for this price range, with a Helio P23 processor working behind the scenes (similar in performance to the Snapdragon 625) - though there are some better performing phones around too in this bracket
Camera
- Good rear camera - manages good details in daylight, has a quick focus, a good burst mode, and a good portrait (bokeh) mode
- The front camera is very good too, and again has a good portrait mode - additionally the fill light in the front is quite powerful and offers good illumination in low light
- Video recording quality at 1080p is decent during the day
Audio
- Decent call quality
- The mono speaker gets very loud
Battery
- Good battery life with a 3750mAh battery - will easily last the day and more
- Decent charging speed - goes up to about 57% in an hour - although it's not technically 'fast charging'
More
- Dual 4G VoLTE support
- Overall, while TECNO Camon iClick is a pretty decent choice for this price bracket, especially if your primary concern is the camera, it is prevented from being a clear winner because of some basic things - a plastic body, a low resolution display and the absence of a compass - if you’re looking for better all-rounder phones, then you might be better served looking in the direction of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, or Realme 1
