Design
- Glamorous, sleek design - looks good and feels nice to hold - the notched display with minimal bezels makes it look pretty modern
- There's also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that lines up conveniently when you hold the phone.
- Both the fingerprint sensor and the face unlock system work decently well
- The rear, though it looks like glass, is of course actually plastic - and a glossy one at that - so you can expect lots of smudges and fingerprints if you don't plan to use a case
Display
- The large notched display is pretty decent - it is vivid and the overall colour reproduction seems at par with the competition offers - viewing angles are wide, the screen brightens up nicely and features good sunlight legibility
- Resolution could have been higher though
Software
- The Camon iClick 2 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with HiOS on top of it, which is a decent Android UI - it offers a lot of customisation options, especially the WhatsApp mode, which restricts others apps from accessing the data while excluding the messaging app - there is also a Game Boost mode, FooView, Screen Record and Lock Screen notification options
Performance
- Average performance - while most leading budget smartphones offer a Snapdragon 636 or Helio P60 chipset in this category, the iClick 2 runs on a lower-end MediaTek P22 Helio SoC - the smartphone does handle day-to-day tasks efficiently but will struggle when pushed to its limits - this is not the phone for people who want the best performance for their money
Camera
- Decent, AI enabled, dual rear camera setup on the rear - in broad daylight, the images are decent, colour reproduction is on point, and the phone is quick to focus - bokeh shots are decent too
- Good front camera - takes fairly good selfies - the dynamic range is retained efficiently while the details are preserved for daylight situations — overall, the selfie camera is amongst the best in this price bracket
- Low light photography is not that good though
Battery
- Good battery life with a solid 3750mAh battery pack - you can comfortably expect a full day's battery even with heavy use
More
- Overall, the iClick 2 is a pretty decent choice if you care primarily about the design, selfie camera, and battery - but if you are looking for better all-round phones with more raw power, you want to look elsewhere
