Design
- The overall size is compact, making it easy to hold in a hand
- The phone also feels light and slim compared to other models at this price point
- Power and the volume buttons on the left, are easy to reach too
- Although the name has 'metal' in it, the build is not full metal - the back has metal plate, but the rest of the phone is plastic
- No fingerprint scanner
Display
- The entire screen is easily accessible without stretching your fingers
- The display is acceptable but viewing angles, and sunlight legibility could have been better
Software
- Simple, stock Android UI, with some useful added gesture controls, like double-tap to wake
- Plenty of preinstalled bloatware apps
Performance
- Average overall speed/performance - you see hints of insufficient RAM when switching between apps or waking the device up from standby - there is also a noticeable lag when unlocking it - with games too, the basic ones will run ok, but the rest will lag
- When pushed, the processor also tends to get warm
Camera
- Average rear and front cameras - there is a slight lag in the viewfinder, colour accuracy is ordinary, HDR adds a lot of artifacting, and EIS is ineffective
Battery
- Removable battery
- Average battery life - with basic use, it will last the work day, but with heavier use, you will definitely need to charge it back in the middle of the day - there is no support for fast charging either
