Design
- Well-built and sturdy
- Looks nice with a textured back panel
- The screen, though pretty good, is a fingerprint magnet and requires constant cleaning
Display
- Decent HD display with good viewing angles (although sunlight legibility could have been better)
- No protective coating on display
Software
- Preloaded with a number of bloatware apps
Performance
- Decent performance for day-to-day tasks - works well as long as you use it for basic things such as email, social networking, multimedia and calling
- Although basic tasks are fine, but the 1GB RAM feels limiting when taxed with heavy apps/multitasking - it gets overwhelmed quickly, leading to frequent slowdowns and stutters - you will need to keep closing background apps to keep the phone running smoothly
- With the limited hardware, gaming capability is obviously limited to basic games only
Camera
- Near stock Android interface with a few added features from Xolo like smart awake, quick camera launch, and smart view
- Decent rear camera - performs quite well, especially in daylight
- Good front camera - the only one in this price bracket to offer a dual LED flash for the front camera - generally takes above average selfies
- Rear camera images in low light have plenty of noise (although this is pretty much to be expected in this price range)
Battery
- Mediocre battery life - with 4G connectivity and mixed use of calling and camera, the phone tends to run out of battery by the evening — you will need a top-up sometime in the middle of the day to make it through
More
- Supports both 4G and VoLTE, which is uncommon in this price range
