Design
- Sturdy build quality
- Quick fingerprint sensor
- Somewhat bulky design
Display
- Bright display, with good viewing angles
Software
- Simple, close-to-stock Android UI
Performance
- Average speed/performance - the phone will tend to lag while multi-tasking - and apps will take time to load - there are better performing phones in this price bracket
Camera
- Good front camera - delivers excellent results in daylight as well as indoor with good lighting - images have sharp detail and natural colour
- The front camera is good in daylight but pretty ordinary in low light - there is visible noise and lack of detail
- Rear camera is average - there is significant shutter lag plus image quality is not up to the mark — mainly with the amount of detail it can capture - video recording quality is also average
Audio
- Loud speaker output
Battery
- Good battery life - comfortably lasts the work day without any issue
More
- Only 16GB internal storage - will tend to get limiting if you install a lot of apps
- On the whole, the Era 3X is decent value, but it's not great - it lacks the good looks and superior performance of the Xiaomi Redmi 5A or the 10.or E - and if you can stretch your budget a bit then Xiaomi's selfie-centric Redmi Y1 is a much better option too
